What is a Vocation?

  • We use the term to mean that a person has made a decision to respond to God's call to live a life, dedicated to service, within a religious community.

  • That religious community may be communal (where all live together) or is dispersion (where some or all of the members live apart from each other).

  • There are many ways that a person can sense this calling from God.  And responding to what one thinks is a call from God to live a religious life, can be a daunting task.  There are many questions, uncertainties, fears and adjustments that need to be considered, and made.  Some of the answers to these questions or uncertainties can be found quite easily.  Others take a lot longer and can be quite hard to determine.

Do you think you have a Vocation?

  • If  you are 18 years or over and If you think or perhaps believe, that God has called you to live a life dedicated to others, and you like to explore this in more depth, and think you could live our Rule of Life, then please contact us.  We would be happy to talk with you about your journey.
